The major development for off-road enthusiasts in the 2025 Ram 1500 lineup is the introduction of the new RHO model, boasting the TRX body and suspension, coupled with a lower price tag and the powerful Hurricane engine. However, there's more to the story, as Ram has also unveiled two additional trims catering to different needs and budgets.
One of these trims is the Rebel X, marking a decade of excellence for the Rebel series. Based on the Rebel Level 2 equipment group, it comes packed with features like a 14.5-inch center touchscreen, passenger-side infotainment display, panoramic sunroof, heated seats all around, a heated steering wheel, dual phone charging, and a premium 19-speaker Harman Kardon sound system, among others. Building upon this foundation, the Rebel X introduces innovations like the new Rough Road Cruise Control, designed to maintain speed on unpaved terrain while dynamically adjusting suspension damping and steering weight as required. Although specifics on its operation are scarce, it appears to offer capabilities akin to Toyota's Crawl Control or Ford's Trail Control. Additionally, the Rebel X receives distinctive logo decals, high-bolster seats, paddle shifters, and a console shifter from the G/T package, along with striking red interior accents. Retaining key off-road enhancements such as a 1-inch suspension lift, Bilstein shocks, 33-inch tires on 17-inch wheels, and various black exterior accents, the Rebel X is powered by the standard-output Hurricane twin-turbo 3.0-liter engine, generating 420 horsepower and 469 pound-feet of torque.
Meanwhile, the 2025 Ram 1500 Warlock undergoes its own update, maintaining its position as an accessible option delivering essential upgrades from the Rebel lineup without the premium features that inflate the price. Featuring a 1-inch suspension lift, skid plate, and abundant black accents, including dual exhaust tips, the Warlock sports 18-inch wheels and the basic 8.4-inch infotainment screen complemented by physical gauge dials and a cloth front bench. Nevertheless, it retains certain luxuries like a leather-wrapped steering wheel and safety aids such as adaptive cruise control, lane-keep assist, and blind-spot monitoring. Optional amenities include heated front seats, a spray-in bedliner, and side steps. Powered by the base Hurricane engine, offering 420 horsepower and 469 pound-feet of torque, the Warlock continues to provide an affordable entry point into the Ram 1500 lineup.
